Well, I've never written a blog before, so this is a completely new experience for me. I guess I will learn as I go, which seems to be the case in my life for most things. I have learned that God doesn't just give me the plan for my life. He wants me to trust Him and follow Him one step at a time.
Trust. That is much easier said than done. I'm the kind of person that likes to know how things are going to work out. Putting my trust in someone else when I'm not certain where I'm going, now that is difficult. Jesus is the same today as He has been in the past. And He won't change in the future. He has been faithful in the past (the Bible is full of promises He's fulfilled and I have experienced it as well), so I know I can trust Him to be faithful in the future because His nature never changes...ever.
In Isaiah 41:13, He promises, "For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior..." Isaiah 43:2-3a
"'To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?' says the Holy One. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, 'My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God'? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:25-31.
I don't need to fear because my God will help me. He will be with me during the hard times. He is not distant but cares about me. He won't get worn out, and He will provide me with the strength to endure. My God, my Savior, can be trusted completely.
